Case Study: Jobs Board Launch.
Launching a jobs website and achieved an outstanding traffic target inside 6 months...
Since July 2024 I've been working with the team at DRIVER61.com to launch their motorsport jobs site: Fluidjobs.com
As we enter December 2024, the site enjoys approximately 30k visits from Google Search, Google Jobs and referrals to the careers hub (our content resource) from multiple social channels and reddit.com
Starting a new website from scratch is a serious test for a marketer. Fortunately, DRIVER61 has over 1.6m subscribers to its YouTube channel. This gave us an excellent opportunity to launch the site and trigger branded / navigational search for the site.
The image above shows a snapshot of search performance in Google Search Console. The two spikes in impressions are mentions on the channel, a healthy increase in branded search assisted the growth trajectory.
Content is of course, king and we have executed a content strategy that includes podcasts, youtube interviews, insights into racing team personnel careers and original research.
Our F1 Salary Stats post triggered a viral response from the motorsport industry, and inspired the direction of a longer term content strategy: to make ourselves useful to motorsport HR/hiring personnel while being disruptive to established ideas around package and remuneration secrecy.
As we approach 2025 the forecast for the next 12 months looks very healthy. With link building working well and continued opportunities to optimise location pages, employer pages and Google for Jobs visibility, I think Fluidjobs is an excellent case study in starting from scratch and achieving significant traffic targets within 6 months.
